Course
Requirement :
Students
enrolled at OFS will be given a Student Pilot Licence
which authorises flight training with a licenced Flight
Instructor. Students are required to take examinations
stipulated by the DGCA at Chennai (Madras) or other
approved centres to qualify for their licence. The
exams are conducted at various cities like Chennai,
Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkatta, etc. The detailed exam schedule
can be obtained from the Operations Office. The Radio
Telephony exam is conducted every three months at
the various cities mentioned above.
Those students who are weak
in subjects will be given adequate training to prepare
them to the required standards. Only after they attain
the required standards, they will be permitted to
commence flying training.
NOTE
:
Course duration
may vary depending on the progress of the students
especially in their ability and aptitude in clearing
DGCA exams.
The course fees may vary depending
on fuel price and airport charges as levied by the
government from time to time.
