Educational Qualification: Pass
in 10+2 with Maths and Physics (or) Equivalent

Medical : Medical fitness as per DGCA standard.

to join in an aviation industry as a pilot?
Generally airlines prefers pilots
between 17 to 35 years of age, however if you have
prior
experience and you are below the age of 60 years,
you may still join.

Can a commerce or arts
student join the CPL course?
A student, who has passed 10
+2 from a recognized Board with Commerce or
Arts
subjects, should undergo bridge course in 10+2 with
maths and physics from a recognized
Board, to become eligible for CPL.

What is the minimum height to
join the CPL programme?
No minimum height prescribed.
The individual has to obtain a cockpit check certified
to
manipulate controls and he should have an unobstructed
view of the outside, if required by
the aviation medical examiners.

What is the eyesight one must
have? Are glasses permissible?
As per DGCA standard, eyesight
should be correctable to 6/6.Glasses are permissible.

What are the job prospects in
India?
With the introduction of low
cost airlines in the open skies of India and Asian
Region, there is an anticipated demand for over 1000-2000
qualified pilots in the next 5 years.

How can I choose a flight school?
Ask yourself, What is
the most deciding factors to me? Is it the cost, duration,
school
reputation, good feedback from other students, Aircraft
availability, adequate flight
instructors and excellent infrastructure. Make a comparative
study and narrow down your
choices with two or three schools. Remember, it is
your future and it is very important to
know which is more likely to meet your individual

in India. It is the authority to issue licences to

How is the life of an Airline
Pilot?
An airline pilot flies only
60 hours in a month. Legally, pilots are restricted
to fly certain hours daily, weekly, monthly and annually.
Rest period is mandatory for the airline pilots by
law and airlines closely ensure compliance.

How much can I expect to earn
as an airline pilot?
Close to 1.5 to 3 lakhs per
month.

Do DGCA and ICAO recognize OFS?
OFS is approved by DGCA, remember
OFS does not issue the licence, the pilot licences
are issued by DGCA: therefore your licence is recognized
by both DGCA and ICAO.

Can OFS help me to get a loan?
Yes, you may obtain an educational
loan from any nationalized bank. We will provide any
documents needed by your bank to help you to qualify
for an educational loan.

Is there any transportation
from the hostel to the airport?
Yes, transportation is available
for the pickup and drop. Check with your Admission

Can I complete my DGCA Exams
before I start my flying?
No, as per DGCA a student must
complete a minimum of 50 flight hours before he/she
can appear for DGCA theory exams.
19.
What is the eligibility criteria
for a foreign student to join CPL course?
Pass in 12th standard from a
recognized Board with maths and physics as per the
norms of Association of Indian Universities (AIU)
New Delhi. In addition, the student has to obtain
Security Clearance from DGCA, which normally
takes one to three months.
